It's been awhile since I've got on, but I feel like if I do this consistent it'll help me with running!! So Im camping at Anderson cove, got up at 6:30 kinda cold but I ran up snow basin road for 5 miles, it was super up hill. I pushed it on the way down and started hauling, fastest mile going down was 4:30, my 3 mile time was 14 flat, and my 5k was 14:37. Felt pretty good, I just wanna push it all the time so I can get into good shape. I'm ready for this season and hopefully my boys are ready to. If we play are cards right this'll be a season to remember.

So today we just did 5.5 mi moderate because we are doing Timpanogous tomorrow!! We started to pick up the pace towards the end of the run, mostly just because we all get so competitive with each other. After we ran we went to the gym and lifted some weights, and lemme tell ya I'm so tired. When we got done weight lifting we went to Kneaders and got there all you can eat French toast, and Peter White tied the record of 7 pieces. I'm Super excited for Timpanogous tomorrow and I have a feeling we are gonna be pushing it up and down

Today we ran up Timponogus Mountain, it's a 15 mile run total 7.5 up 7.5 back. I hiked it a couple weeks ago and it took 9 hrs!! When we ran it, it took us about 3 hours and 9 mins. It was pretty rough and it was freezing at the top!! I rolled my ankle about 70 times. I'm seriously so tired and could sleep for years. It was a really good workout and I'm happy to be pushing it and getting in better shape. I'm feeling strong and ready to start this upcoming season

We went 3 miles nice and slow, legs didn't feel as bad as I thought they would after timp, didn't feel too good because I'm pretty sure I was dehydrated. Tomorrow we are racing the stampede course and I plan on winning and getting a hecka good time!! I really gotta start taking care of my body, it's crunch time in the season, and I have no time for injuries this year

So I haven't recorded in a while cuz I suck at remembering,  but starting today I'm re dedicating myself!! My XC season didn't go as I wanted so I'm determined to not let that happen this track season. I've been learning more about your mentality and how if affects your running, -and I really see a lot of benifit writing down how I felt about runs and something I did well, and something I can improve on, as well as my goals for the day or week, so basically this is going to be my "Mental Skills journal" as well. If I can do this consistently I onow I'll have a great track season!! Today I ran 4 miles, mostly by myself cuz I had to go home and grab my shoes, I caught up with the boys and just kept going fast. My average was a 6:12 and my last mile ended with me doing to laps on the track and I got a 5:34 for that mile. My stomach felt kinda sicky (probs cuz I ate way to much starbursts). The wind was at my back most of the time but i still can tell I'm not amazing shape but still decent shape. Tomorrow we are doing the EGG NOG CHALLENGE, so I'm excited for that. My goals for my next real run (Saturday) is to run how I feel, and then starting picking it up towards the end and to mentally check myself and think "am I really going as fast as I can"
